Tax Broke Documentary Screening and Fair Housing & Tenant Workshop
Tax Broke Documentary Screening:
The 11 April documentary screening of Tax Broke was a success and well attended with over 100 people from community members, non-profits, youth, and universities. Some Baltimore City officials also attended to include Councilwoman Ramos and Councilman Cohen. The Real News Network said it was the largest screening yet and generated meaningful community discussion.
Thank you to the League members and leaders who showed up! This event helped generate community action and we are proud to be a part of it.
Free Fair Housing & Tenants Workshop:
The League is co-sponsoring a free Fair Housing & Tenants Rights Workshop with several IHC members to include the Community Planning and Housing Association and the Baltimore Branch of the NAACP. The workshop will provide renters and homeowners with education on federal, state, and local fair housing and tenant rights. Registration is required. Click here to register.
