Tax Broke Documentary Screening
The League is co-sponsoring a documentary screening of Tax Broke with UMBC on April 11th from 530pm-8pm.
Tax Broke is a documentary by The Real News Network that explores how developers are given TIFs and PILOTs for new construction in the city at the expense of the city's working class. This event is co-sponsored by the League of Women Voters Baltimore City and UMBCs American Studies, Public Humanities, and Shriver Peaceworker's Program.
The event will start at 530pm with light food served by Meera Kitchen Collective and interaction with the sponsors, documentary viewing from 6-7, and a Q&A panel from 7-8.
