For seventeen years I have been a social studies teacher for the Baltimore City School system. Currently I am lead content teacher for American Govt at Mergenthaler Vocational High School.

I have been an active member at New Psalmist Baptist Church for the past twenty-seven years. I have served with the Hospitality ministry for over twenty years and currently have the role of team coordinator for the ministry. I am also a member of the social activism ministry at the church. I have been a member of the League of Women Voters for over a year and have participated in the Voter Ambassador program and voter registration drives.
