Gail Manza | Director

Gail is a social worker who has led national networks of community-driven public and private collaborations aimed at enhancing the well-being of children, including the United Way’s Success by 6 R Initiative. She also served as the CEO of MENTOR, where she was instrumental in the nationwide expansion of mentoring based on evidence-based practices.

Gail served as the founding chair of the Federal Mentoring Council and played a key role in establishing the Center for Evidence-based Mentoring. As a co-author of *The Mentor’s Field Guide*, she has a strong record of nonprofit board service. Gail holds a Master of Social Work (M.S.W.) from the University of Maryland School of Social Work and a Ph.D. from Bryn Mawr’s School of Social Work and Social Research.
